Wanaka
Zone overview
Wanaka ski/snow zone is basically the 4 ski resorts and the resort of Wanaka around Lake Wanaka. It's a sporty village (water sports, moutain biking, Aerial sports, hiking...) it's beatiful but pretty busy.
Panoramas are wonderful both in winter and summer and in between as well.
Travel within the zone
It's better if you have your own car or a rental one.
There are some shuttles travelling between Wanaka and the ski resorts (Alpine Coachlines Wanaka http://www.good-sports.co.nz/scheduled_departures.htm
and A Class Shuttles http://www.wanakashuttles.co.nz) but not so cheap.
