Resort overview
Portillo, although often compared to a ski resort for easy families and posh people, possesses a world reputation. It is necessary to say that its height tends to supply with some snow in abundance, and with goo one !
For those with a few financial reserves, good possibilities of heli-skiing. For others, there is all the same good hillsides: it is on their KL runways that we overtook a 200km / hour for the first time!Attention: the accommodation in resort is not really given...!
Transport Information
By bus:
About 150 km from Santiago, approximately 2 hours, on the road between Santiago and Mendoza (Argentina).
About 80 km from Los Andes.
On the spot, there is a possibility of being transported by people in charge of the resort, but it is not a solution of the most thrifty: 60euros / pers.
