The Northern Atoll is better than the Southern one for various reasons : first of all the waves are of a higher quality and a lot closer, next the swells are more consistant, last if you need a doctor in no time, you should be aware that the Southern Atoll is two days away from the capital ( Male), to one hour only fot the Northern Atoll.
