Cap de l'Homy can provide quality waves when the conditions and the banks are right. However, because of the unprotected coastline, conditions can vary greatly from day to day.

Spot dangers

The rips are fierce and cause leathal accidents every year.
Check your legrope before you paddle out in gnarly conditions.


Access to the spot

It is pretty straight forward to get yourself to Cap de l'Homy - when you drive out of Lit-et-Mixe turn right about 300metres after you passed the supermarket. Cap de l'Homy/plage will be indicated.

Drive all the way up the dune or park your car in the woods.
Walk down the stairs and there you go.


Access to line up

Depending on the conditions and tides, access can be as quick as a couple of duck dives while sometimes the rips and breaks will force you to paddle out with all your strenghts.
